It was the year 1994 when I ideally started my journey or better my periegesi (from the ancient greek word periegeomai ,“I take you around“) around Rome and its environs as Pausanias the Periegeta (110-140 AD) did in Ancient Greece. Since then I have had “followers” , disciples and partecipants loving art, all sort of personalities, famous and not famous, but all curious in terms of knowledge, mentally and spiritually. Families, individuals, students and..artists and from the world of cinema and TV, the most moving day for me was in 2005 when in June 29 I had the plaisure to take around the Nobel Prize for Peace Wangari Maatai and furthermore…
After signing an important contract with the Vatican gardens in 2011, I wrote a project to renovate the Vatican gardens together with the director of the Vatican garden at that time. Consequently, I published the book “Anima Persa Anima Ritrovata. Periegesi all’interno dei giardini vaticani“, (Palombi Editori 2017).
My endeless studies, masters and long experience in the Roman museums (here is my resumé) made me an Art Education in museums. I published two books for children A prova di Sbadiglio. Giochiamo con il ritratto and A prova di sbadiglio giochiamo con il paesaggio (Palombi Editori, 2009 and 2010) and a book titled Intorno all’Educazione all’arte, dall’eutropia all’eutopia (Palombi Editori, 2018)
I conceived two projects on Art Education in museums: 1. A prova di sbadiglio (Creative interdiscipliary tours) for kids or families with kids and schools; and Oltre i confini: vedere (Beyond the bounderies, we can see) for adults and teenagers.
I keep my own blog il Periegeta on Art, Gardens, Art Education, Cinema
